Owner nice guy but he sets his own hours and not to accommodate customer.
He provides a towel ONLY if you ask and if you discover on return and he
is not in the office. tough!Internet very poor in room or non-existent. Having to go to the office WHEN
it is open is a hassle.Most visitors are Europeans who are probably OK with minimal service, etc.
You get what you pay for.

Not really as it was advertised--information was deceptive. Kitchen area was not as one would expect with very few utensils and crockery.No jug or toaster.Bed was much better when we took the mattress off the base and slept on the mattress on the floor for the last 3 nights. The pleasant shared garden was a rough patch of weeds and sad-looking grass.Good location and we felt quite secure after initial misgivings.

Fell in love with harlem! it is by far the better place to stay than the times square. This place offers great value for the independent minded travellers. It's a no fuss type of a place.
