Located in Namibia's capital city Windhoek, Rivendell caters for guests who enjoy homely, comfortable accommodation at a reasonable price. The current owners took over in June 2003 and our emphasis remains on hospitality and helpfulness, whether it be finding a rental car, booking a safari, reserving the best place in town to eat or planning a self-drive itinerary.

The accommodation is located in a shady suburb within walking distance of the Windhoek city centre.

We offer our guests fully equipped self-catering facilities or the option of bed & breakfast. We have a communal lounge area where guests can relax and watch satellite TV, dining room, shaded veranda, well kept gardens and a large patio area with swimming pool. We also have safe off-road parking, storage space for luggage, laundry facilities, Internet access and a guest phone. We kindly request that guests smoke outside only.

N$760 per room (accommodates 2 people but can be used as a family room on request)

Breakfast is an additional N$80 for continental or for a full English cooked breakfast.

Exchange Rates, Taxes and Credit Cards:

One Namibian Dollar = one South African Rand. All taxes are included. Tourists may re-claim VAT from the Namibian Government. We accept payment in local currency or by credit card (Visa or MasterCard only).

Directions from Windhoek International Airport:

Turn right out of the airport onto Sam Nujoma Drive heading towards Windhoek. Follow this road for 42km, right through town, crossing Independence Ave, Mandume Ndemufayo Ave and Hosea Kutako Drive. Once Hosea Kutako has been crossed, take the second right at the corner shop into Beethoven Street. Follow Beethoven up the hill and straight across John Meinert Road. Rivendell is the second house on the right, number 40 Beethoven Street.
