‘Renaixeca Hotel’ is from the 19th century that has retained their period decoration (Modernism). Collections of paintings, pottery, earthenware jugs and sculpture (in the gardens) make our Hotel a living work of art. Modernism was extremely popular in art and architecture in Cataluña during the time of the Renaixença (Renaissance). The Modernists believed in the creative imagination as the wellspring of symbols. Architects such as Gaudi and others were the driving force behind the movement. The painters held in high regard include Ramon Casas, Isidre Nonell and Santiago Rusiñol who organized the Modernist festivals in Sitges in the late 19th century.
Our Hotel has an extremely elegant bar and cool and welcoming lounges. Breakfast is served in the dining rooms indoors or out in the gardens among the palm trees. The garden dining area is one of the most charming spots in Sitges and in addition, many of the rooms in the hotel have a large balcony looking out over the gardens.
Sitges is a small coastal town, with its excellent climate, where artists from Barcelona and other parts of Europe come; you will be able to get to know the Mediterranean culture. Spend the morning on the beach and after lunch and a ‘siesta’, make the most of the bars, discos, saunas, etc., of which Sitges has plenty. Begin on Carrer de Sant Bonaventura or neighbouring the streets in the old part of Sitges. At night, there are lots of bars in the town to choose from, as well as two large night clubs in the centre.
We recommend you to meet new likeminded friends on the beach and the breakwater beach. If the beach is too dark at night, enjoy a stroll around the streets or you can of course drop in to a sauna.
We can give you full information about the best monuments and places to visit as well as night life spots, just ask us!
