The building of Hotel Dom Henrique was originally a bold project of 2 famous architects from Porto, Arq. Pádua Ramos and Arq. Carlos Loureiro, who had planned the construction of an office building, which would be the first high-raise building in the city made with concrete. Only after being already built it was turned into a Hotel, after the proprietary, Mr. Afonso Pinto de Magalhães, came to the conclusion that the city needed a good 4 star Hotel, being inaugurated in 1973.

The Hotel has 112 comfortable air-conditioned rooms, including 22 suites, equipped with:

• Full Marble bath with speaker

• Direct Dial Telephone with analogical fax/modem port and additional digital port in all suites.

• WLAN (wi-fi) access available in entire hotel

Please note: Bar 17 and room Navegador, located on the 2 top floors of the Hotel, will be undergoing major renovations, forcing its closure from 16th January on.

These spaces will be available again from the end of March, so our customers can continue to enjoy the best views of the city.

Bar service will continue to be provided in Room D. João, on the Mezzanine floor.
