Hospedaria Doce Lar is located in the colonial style town of Lencois. Lencois is part of the stunning and magical national park of Chapada Diamantina. The Hospedaria is family run, creating a very friendly feeling around the place.

Hospedaria Doce Lar is a small, familly run business providing accomodation at the heart of the Chapada Diamantina region in the charming small town of Lencois. It is comprised of a series of rooms set around either the central or lower garden areas, where bannas and coconuts grow and the occasional hummingbird can be seen. Every room is ensuite, has a ceiling fan and fridges are available. The rooms with verandas have hammocks hanging just outside the door and there are more hammocks to be found in the open air kitchen/ dining area, where a vast array of traditional Bahian dishes are served every morning along with freshly made fruit juices.

The Hospedaria can provide guiding services for the numerous treks around the national park area. There is wireless internet available for guests, or a computer for people who are travelling without a laptop. There are also laundry services available within the pousada.

From the airport in Salvador the best option is to get a bus to Lencois. We can pick up from the coach station. However the directions from the coach station are: walk towards the bridge. Cross the bridge and turn left. Go straight down the road untill you go pass a big yellow building on your right (This is the college of the town). Take the first right after that and then first left. The Hospedaria Doce Lar is at the bottom of the hill on the right with a blue door. Please ring the bell on the right hand side of the gates and someone will let you in.

The alternative: fly from Salvador airport to Coronel Horacio de Matos airport, which is 20km of Lencois. We have an airport-pick service, which costs 80 reais for the car which fits 4 people.
