Our riad is located in the heart of the ancient median. Located at 5 minutes walk from the beach and 3 minutes walk from the bus station Supratours. Surrounded by typical little grocery shops, kind of ali baba caverns, public baker's oven, hamman... our guests experiment a true taste of Moroccan life. Dar Darek with only 4 rooms, is intimate and charming.

Our intimate riad has been totally renovated using traditional materials and techniques. Beijmats tiles, tadelakt walls and ornate fabrics provide classic Moroccan style with a hint of contemporary design. Every piece of furniture was made by local craftmen.

We have 4 charming and very comfortable guest rooms (each of them with bathroom and toilets) as well as a quiet sunny roof terrace and a cosy lounge where you can enjoy a glass of mint tea or warm up in front of the fire during the colder season.

A tasty breakfast is included in the price, and we can also prepare evening meals (€15 per person). Our cuisine is a mix of typical Moroccan family cooking and classic French recipes which uses delicious combinations of seasonal fruits and vegetables.

We will be very happy to pick you up at your arrival in Essaouira at the meeting point Bab Marrakech, which is one of the main Medina entrance and which is located at only 3 minutes walking from Dar Darek.

How to arrive to Essaouira?

Essaouira city is 25 km away from Essaouira airport. It is also situated 2h30 away by road from Marrakech and Agadir

We can organize pick up service and private transfer from any airport at your arrival in air conditioned car.

you can catch a small taxi or the shuttle from the airport to the bus station Supratours (near the train station). The buses of this company are air conditioned. The cost of one ticket is 70 DH PER person
