The founders and proprietors of Andenes Hostal, Felix and María, are descendants of the Incas. They are native speakers of Quecha, Incan language, and continue to practice the customs of their ancestors. They have four children — two are tour guides in the area and two are attending university .

When the tourists first started coming to Ollantaytambo, there were no comfortable places in the town to eat and sleep. This inspired our family to construct Hostal Andenes
