Aquamarina Boathotel****, Budapest, Ungheria

Built in 1903 in Somoroskij for the czar as an excursion boat. It carried guests on the rivers Caucasus, Mercure and Volga and participated in all major events of the era.

During its reconstruction the biggest suite, which was originally built for the czar, was refurbished according to the original design.

The original steam-engine of the boat can be seen under a glass floor located in the centre of the boat.

On our boat hotel we have not only rooms but also restaurant which the stern of the 1st floor and attracts most of our guests.

The style of the restaurant is in perfect accordance with the decor of the rooms, wooden floor and warm pastel colours are prevailing. The menu reflects the unique nature of water orientated life-style; it is mainly visualized by the wide selection of fish meals. The cuisine is rather Hungarian style, but certainly waves of reform and fit nutrition can be found.

The restaurants have a terrace from which guests can enjoy the panoramic view of the Danube and the Buda-side river bank.
