The Crown is a traditional 15th century village Inn on the Wye Valley & Forest of Dean borders. Situated in beautiful countryside with Gloucester, Hereford & Worcester all within a 30 minute drive. We boast everything you would expect to find in an old listed property including beams, wood burners, open fires, flagstones, jacobean carvings and a 3 tonne granite fireplace. We offer newly refurbished rooms, locally sourced home cooked food and most of all a really warm & friendly welcome. We look forward to meeting you.

All our Rooms offer Tea & Coffee making facilities, Alarm Clocks, Wifi, Colour TV with Freeview & ensuite Shower or Bathrooms. Irons and Ironing Boards, are available on request.

We are ideally placed to explore the beautiful countryside that surrounds us whether you choose the forest of dean, the wye valley or decide to venture further.

Gloucester is a 20 minute drive away and offers superb shopping, alfresco dining at the regenerated Gloucester Docks and a tour of Gloucester Cathedral is a must. Walk the cloisters where Harry potter was filmed and soak up the history to be found in this beautiful building.

Symonds Yat is just a 15 minute drive and offers something for everyone. Canoeing, fishing, walking, climbing, rare bird watching, river boat cruises or just sit by the river wye, a glass in hand watching the world go bye.
