Great location for the central station, only a 10min walk. Not bad for the central piazza / duomo area either; probs about a 15-20min walk. Next to a pleasant park and in a pretty cool area. We spent most our evenings in the Navigli canal district though, which is a fetch on the other side of town (if you head to that area, check out a bar called Luca & Andrea - awesome fun, very welcoming bar staff who love the english).

L'Hotel è posizionato all'angolo di P.zza Repubblica, MM3 fermata REPUBBLICA, a circa 500 metri dalla Stazione Centrale; sul lato destro della Stazione c'è il Terminal con i Bus per gli Aeroporti di Malpensa, Linate e Orio al Serio.

In 10 minuti a piedi si arriva al centro della città, in 5 minuti al quadrilatero della moda (Montenapoleone) e in 15 minuti con il Metrò si arriva al centro Fiera.

Un piccolo Hotel confortevole e accogliente, completamente ristrutturato, con una calda ospitalità in un ambiente familiare.

La prima colazione è servita a Buffet ed è inclusa nel prezzo. La reception è aperta 24 ore su 24.

Camere dotate di servizi privati con asciugacapelli, TV color satellitare, telefono diretto e aria climatizzata regolabile individualmente.

Having said all that though, we didn't use public transport once in 3 days, just ambled about.

Hotel is great for the price - cheap and cheerful. Rooms are good; basic but clean. Breakfast is pretty standard, but included in the price. The managers aren't the most helpful, and don't speak great english, but it shouldn't put you off. If you have a go in pigeon italian they warm to you!

Overall, a decent base to explore the city from, on the cheap.

By Air:
Milan has two international airports: Malpensa and Linate. Malpensa airport is the main international airport. It handles almost all international flights. It lies at about 50 km northwest of the city.

Linate airport handles most domestic and some European flights. It is around 7 km east of the city centre and it is connected to the central railway station by a shuttle bus running every 20 minutes (in the evening every 30 min.) Also ordinary city buses (n. 73) run from Linate to the centre (Piazza San Babila).

The public transport system operates from 6:00 in the morning until midnight, but during the night there is a bus line which replaces the number 1 subway line.

The Hotel is situated in the central district at Repubblica underground stop-yellow line, close to the Central Railway Station (500 metres) and to the Air Terminal from and to the Linate, Malpensa and Orio al Serio Airports.

By foot you can reach the heart of the city (10 minutes), fashion and shopping Montenapoleone street (5 minutes). By one of the three Metro-lines the Milan Trade Fair (15 minutes).
