sensevise Gianni himself is quite friendly and approachable. The room was very nice, with a good balcony. The shower head needs to be replaced, as water goes in all directions. The terrace cooking facilities are handy, but can get a bit crowded at meal times. We found we had to stagger our meals by about an hour and a half. Sometimes the staff (not Gianni) get a bit drunk at night. The location is great, with beaches, supermarket and bus stop all very close by, but there's a lot of noise from the scooter repair shop downstairs and a few barking dogs around. Good WI-FI, but the higher up in the building you go the worse the signal gets, as there's only one wireless router on the ground floor. You can go out on the balcony and get reception there if it's not working in the room.

torbjorn.grafst A nice apartment in an old, very narrow street. You could barely pass the worst sections (160 cm) even with a small car. Advisable to hire a parking space for the car in the basement garage, available at extra fee. Large roof terrrace with plenty of cafe tables and chairs, nice Etna and ocean views from here. 15 min walk along Corso Umberto to bus station and to funicular leading to the beach below.
