kikobujedo Nice place to stay, with kind people running it. Only inconveniences are some moths (not annoying, by the way), and the distance from Treviso city, although it is very close to the airport.
jagal Hotel Scala did not have clear English language directions, so we had to get a taxi there. It's about a e10 from the train station journey. And then it's a 20 minute walk from Treviso. The room was clean, charming and well appointed - as was the whole hotel. The warm fire was particularly welcoming on the cold night. The staff were really friendly - they gave us a big bowl of whole nuts to enjoy with our drinks and the chef chatted with us. The only thing that soured the experience for us was they charged us more than the internet booking form said. He charged us for breakfast even though we booked breakfast included. At the time we didn't argue because our Italian wasn't really up to it and his english wasn't very good. So we paid extra. So, on the whole I wouldn't go back. I thought overcharging us was sneaky - because we showed him our booking form so he knew what we should have paid and he took advantage of our poor Italian. And the location is not convenient as a stop off between airport and Venice.
