paul55574 Got to reception and got told we were staying somewhere else which was a 5min walk away. The room and toilet was great and the breakfast was decent with a nice variety. we extended our stay a further night. would definitely recommend the hotel to others.
Cannaregio 5151/A Fondamente Nove VeneziaOutstanding 97%
shisnit It took us a little whlie to understand the direction it gave to the hotel. But after we actually figured it out, the instructions were correct. Take the waterbus on the left side of the bridge and get off at Fondamente Nove, the main hotel is right outside the the dock. It was on the quite side of Venice, there is a bakery nearby as well as a supermarket. The pizza place near the water has great pizza and gelato. Our host was very good and friendly. Breakast was enough to get you going. The room was clean and the shower is hot. Room is a/c and safe if you're coming home late at night.
Calle dei Boteri 1623, San Polo RialtoOutstanding 97%
dkobak For a 1-star (ONE star) hotel it's a very nice place. Staff is friendly, location is great (5 minutes to San Marco), beds are huge, included breakfast is simple but edible, everything clean etc. 40 euro for a double room in Venice -- is incredible. Great place.
Al Campo della Lana Santa Croce 573Outstanding 95%
deseis15 We stayed here for three nights in august. The B&B is a little difficult to find for the first time, but with the directions from Andrea ( the owner) and when you pay attention to the housenumbers, you must be able to get there. The room was very nice, just redone and very clean. We had our own bathroom, which was immaculate. No air conditioning or fan (yet), but will be soon as we understood. Breakfast is good, not much variation, but enough choice (yoghurt, fruit, bread and jam, different kinds of tea/coffee) and is served in the nice garden. Location is perfect, right around the corner of the Strada Nuova(shopping street), and a 5 minute walk from the Rialto bridge and Fondament Nuove ( vaporetto to Murano and Lido). It's possible to leave your luggage at the B&B on your exit day( you must leave the room at 11:00). The owners are very friendly and we could even use their fridge to cool our drinks, for when we wanted to sit in the garden in the evening, because there is no mini-bar/fridge in the room. We would certainly return if we planned another trip to Venice.
guitara47 The room we had was perfect for us- close to the vaparatto as well as centrally located not far from the rialto bridge and fish markets. The room was very clean with a great bathroom and the small fridge was perfect for keeping cold drinks and snacks in. The manager Luca was incredibly helpful and gave us a detailed map of the best sights to see, and suggested the island tour which was totally worth it. All up we would definitely recommend this place to anyone travelling to Venice.
suzyatk Great location, clean, and a friendly owner. The room and bathroom were great. The only thing I would say could be improved is the breakfast. All prepackaged, with dry croissants. This may be the same in other similar establishments also and not just this one, but it wasn't that good. Overall it was enjoyable. Thanks!
elviswlm Nice staff and clean room with very good artificial light condition. Unfortunately we got a room on the ground floor which was dark and a bit noisy. We couldn't receive the wireless as well. The bathroom was very bad as it's located under the staircase which did not allow you to stand straight... However the renovation made inside the building was good, and it got a bit of classical sensation with modernistic style. The staff was very helpful, and the breakfast was good. The coffee was excellent and was prepared by the owner only when you started your breakfast! So it's hot and nice! The location is great. It's a nice guesthouse to stay for young couple, but maybe not family.
