Perfect location near the lake and beside any number of tourist facilities. Relatively easy to find. It's behind the Eudora Tavern towards the lake. There's also a very pleasant indoor-outdoor restaurant attached that serves good food and drink. The service is a bit slow, but who's in a rush? Altogether a pleasant place to hang out. There's no bus directly to and from the train station but a taxi cost me just Y3, which is about a bus fare anyway. The room was comfortable and clean, though the shower has the usual Chinese feature of taking 2-3 hours to drain. Things went so smoothly that I didn't need to have any contact with staff apart from booking in and out, so I can't comment on their helpfulness or efficiency at all. Oh, to get your key deposit back they like to see the receipt, so you should keep that. Altogether, an excellent place that I'd be happy to go back to.

Great hostel sited close to West Lake with clean rooms & a good bar & restaurant.
Close to local restaurants & bars.
Bike hire can be found within a 10 minute walk of the hostel.
A short distance to the South Long distance Bus Station, further to the North Long distance Bus Station.

Location was right on the lake, near some bars, restaurants and a coffeeshop. Group dorms were fine, but the bathrooms and showers were minimally cared for. Small courtyard restaurant. Minimal front desk services.

I like it a lot, friendly and helpful staff, very close to West Lake, a nice bar/cafe and a cosy back yard to relax in. I would recommend it to all my friends.
