A lovely place to recoup after a long day of sightseeing, before heading out again to explore the local neighborhood's rich nightlife.

1/2 Block to the G subway, 10 Blocks to the Bedford ave L Subway, 15 minutes to manhattan, 2 blocks from a park, located on a quiet but central street and surrounded by cafes, galleries, bars, and restaurants. Greenpoint is continually voted one of the best neighborhoods in New York.

Each apartment has it's own bathroom and kitchen, fully stocked with all the pots, pans, and dishes you might need.

All units are comfortable, well-decorated, and eco-friendly. All organic linens and towels are provided, as well as coffee, coffee maker (and grinder), cable tv, wifi, and laundry. Shared bathrooms and kitchens are usually shared between 4-6 different people.

Apartments and rooms are fully cleaned between each guest and sheets and towels are all high quality cotton. All mattresses are firm and comfortable, and an assortment of different pillows are provided.

Every effort is made to make your stay comfortable. The owner and House Manager are available 24-7 for emergencies, and during the day by phone, text or email for any questions or concerns. House Manager is on site for a few hours every day. I do have a full-time job, and try to make the lodge run on it's own to keep my prices low. THERE IS NO FRONT DESK OR FULL TIME STAFF. If you are looking for a place with a full time staff, this isn't for you. If you are looking for a great, private place to feel like you are in your own home, then the Lodge will be perfect!! We provide an info pack in every room with all the info you need about the house, the neighborhood, and the best restaurants. You can always email, call, or text us if you need anything. We usually can respond to anything you need within a few minutes, if not immediately.

Owner run Sparrow Salon and Bodywork is on the ground floor, so if you need a massage to unwind your sightseeing kinks, or a great New York 'do, let us know!!

In order to keep the lodge as clean as possible, there is a $20/person one-time cleaning fee. This applies for each room you rent, if you switch rooms. The cleaning fee also keeps the price down - the longer you stay, the less expensive it is!

BE AWARE - I have tried to make my listing work within the Hostelworld configuration. Where Hostelworld says '4 bed' it means it sleeps up to 4 people in total - if you share beds. Please check the room listing to see exactly how many beds and what size they are. HostelWorld lists the price per person, but ALL PRICES ARE FOR THE MAX NUMBER OF PEOPLE FOR EACH UNIT, REGARDLESS OF NUMBER OF PEOPLE THERE WILL BE. THANKS!

BASIC DOUBLE PRIVATE ROOM - 1 DOUBLE BED - SLEEPS UP TO TWO PEOPLE aka 'BLUE ROOM' - This is a small but lovely and quiet room in a two bedroom apartment with a shared bathroom, living and kitchen. TV is in the living room.

STANDARD DOUBLE PRIVATE ROOM - DOUBLE BED - SLEEPS UP TO TWO PEOPLE aka 'DOUBLE PRIVATE ROOM'- This is a lovely, quiet, private room with a Double Bed. It has its own entrance from the hall. Kitchen and bathroom are shared with two other rooms. TV in the room.

DELUXE DOUBLE PRIVATE ROOM - 1 QUEEN BED - SLEEPS UP TO TWO PEOPLE - aka 'QUEEN ROSE ROOM'- This is a very quiet, large room with it's own closet. It is part of a two bedroom apartment. Bathroom, kitchen and living room are shared with one other room. TV in the living room.

SUPERIOR DOUBLE PRIVATE ROOM' - ONE QUEEN BED AND ONE DOUBLE BED - SLEEPS UP TO TWO PEOPLE aka 'QUEEN LOFT ROOM' - Beautiful, Sunny room with a queen bed in the loft and a double futon below. It has its own entrance from the hall. Kitchen and bathroom are shared with up to three other people. TV in the room. This room has big windows overlooking the street, and can have a bit of truck noise at night.

'4-BED ENSUITE' . ONE DOUBLE BED AND ONE QUEEN FUTON - SLEEPS UP TO 4 PEOPLE. aka 'ONE BEDROOM APARTMENT' -this is a full, private, One-Bedroom apartment with a large backyard. There is a Double Bed in the bedroom, and a comfortable Queen Futon in the living room. That means there are 2 beds, sleeping a total of 4 people. There is also a FULL KITCHEN AND PRIVATE BATH.

ACCESS: There is self check-in with a keypad entry. You can check in easily and quickly at any time without having to deal with any staff. Just go straight to your room! Once you have made your booking you will be given the code in the Hostel Conditions. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ENTER WITHOUT THIS CODE. So it is absolutely imperative that you check your email and bring it with you. This is the safest method I have found for securing the front door. When I had a regular lock and key entry lots of people were propping the door open so they didn't have to bring their key with them! And anyone can make a copy of the key, whereas the keypad entry can be continually changed. All rooms have their own key and lock, so all of your valuables are doubly secure.

Check-in is 3pm and check-out is noon.

Baggage storage for early arrival or late departure is free and self-service.

BECAUSE I AM A SMALL, BOUTIQUE OPERATION, CANCELLATIONS OF LESS THAN TWO WEEKS FROM START OF RESERVATION WILL BE CHARGED FOR 50% OF THE BALANCE DUE. CANCELLATIONS LESS THAN ONE WEEK FROM START OF RESERVATION WILL BE CHARGED 100%. IF I FIND SOMEONE ELSE, I WILL SUBTRACT WHATEVER I CAN RECOUP.
