Welcome rest is a self-catering residential hostel situated close to the mainline railway station in Plymouth. Self catering proves popular for those looking to minimise cost or with non standard stay periods (night shift, late ferries etc).

There are ten, clean and comfortable rooms, four with showers. The rest of the facilities are communal to include toilets and bathing, kitchens, dining and lounge areas. Sky TV movies and sports are available in the lounge and the whole house is served by free wi-fi. The house is fully centrally heated.

Welcome rest is very close to the university and to the popular Mutley plain and north hill areas of the city. The famous barbican is only ten minutes walk away. It is an ideal base to discover all that Plymouth has to offer as well as the delights of the Tamar Valley and Cornwall via the rail links on the doorstep.

From the mainline train station - by road. Exit the station and proceed up hill to the North Road roundabout. Take the first left into North Road East carry along North Road East, at the traffic lights turn left onto Houndiscombe Road then left onto Sutherland Road. Welcome Rest is on your left hand side.

From the mainline train station - by foot. Exit the station northeast onto Glen Park Avenue, turn right at Restormel Road then take your first left through to Sutherland Road, walk up the hill and Welcome Rest is on your right hand side.
