Overall, the hotel is a good clean hotel with friendly staff in a great location with the subway which runs directly into Manhattan only a short walk away (2 blocks). There are only a few minor downsides to the hotel:
1) The hotel is not well advertised - there is no signage outside to say it is a hotel and is very easy to walk past without noticing (as we did!)
2) You will not hear any of the outside noises (cars, lorry's etc) but you may be kept awake during the night due to the hotel room doors slamming shut when leaving a room due to the fact you cannot push the door handle down and quietly close it. The walls are paper thin, so you may also hear other peoples room TV and if near enough, you may also hear the lift arriving and the door opening.
3) I can only advise on my room but it was very hot. Although there is air con, the air con unit is loud, so cannot be left on all night (unless you are a heavy sleeper!)

As I mentioned, I personally think these are minor issues and the pros definitely out weigh the cons by a big advantage. The hotel is good value for money with a great location.

Right next to the Union St subway is a great little cafe called the Station Cafe which sells good food incase you missed breakfast or need a late night hot meal or a cold beer!

A new hotel - a soft opening. Fine - you know that you can't expect everything to run smoothly straight away.
And normally, my review would have been a bit better - IF, yes IF, I could have at least written that the service was immaculate, the hotel clean from top to bottom, the check-in worked smoothly and the security at the hotel was good.
None of this applied, unfortunately.
The rooms are tiny. So tiny, that for 2 people, 2 suitcases - it gets akward. We moved one suitcase into the bathroom.
Bathroom is spacious....
Air Conditioning is at the head of the bed, so unless you want to get really sick during your stay, you cannot switch it on for the night.
Overall, I am curious to see how they will manage to make this hotel look somewhat like the 3D renderings on the website and who will be willing to pay 180 - 200 Dollar a night.
What a pity!
