My husband and I stayed at Il Girasole during our stay in Cinque Terre and we absolutely LOVED it. Stefano was incredibly helpful, Corniglia was by far our favorite of the 5 towns, and the room was charming, comfortable, and quiet. Admittedly, the room is at the top of a lot of stairs (63 to be exact - I counted after one long hike), but the payoff is the stunning view from the balcony - you overlook the hills, the town, and you can see some of the sea. Restaurants and stores are literally right outside, the people in Corniglia are the friendliest that I have met in Italy,and the town retains it's Italian small town charm without getting swept away by Cinque Terre's increasing popularity and tourism. Honestly, we couldn't have been happier and when we return to Cinque Terre (whether it's in 2 or 20 years), we will seek out Il Garisole again.
