Want to get away from it all? This hostel is surrounded by the open moorland and forest of Dartmoor National Park. With access to a network of off-road walking and cycling routes, its a comfortable, child-friendly retreat and provides a perfect base for family rambles. The famous Dartmoor ponies often pay us a visit from the open moorland always a favourite with visiting children. Great home cooked food using local ingredients is available on your return to the Youth Hostel.

In 2008 , the hostel was a GTBS Gold award for its commitment to the environment.
