Locanda David is a small family guest-house in the centre of the city, only 350 metres from Santa Maria Novella, Florence's central railway station. It is just a few minutes walk from the most important museums and works of art and the most famous shops and markets are all nearby.
We offer guest pleasant, quiet, spacious accommodation, single, double, triple room, mix dorm.
On your arrival you will be welcomed heartily and you will be given the key of your room and that of the building. The entrance time is not limited (no curfew), so you can visit Florence on your way.
The parking is available but not is free
For to cancel or to change your reservation without penalty is possible if you send e.mail 48 hours before chek in.
Time limit for chek out is 11 AM
Chek in is possible from 10 AM to 4 PM and from 7 PM to 11 PM but please call the number in the bell.
Night Service: From 11 Pm to 1 AM is possible chek in if you call the number over the bell with extra payment (for night service) of 10 E for person.
Very important from 1 july 2011 the City of Florence will introduce the tourism tax.
The tourism tax rate is extra reservation cost of 2 E for night for person

Reasonable location, about 500m from the train station. On arrival, they had no records of our booking and charged an extra 30euros on top of the original cost of the room due to tax which we weren't warned about. Window wouldn't shut properly so were eaten by mosquitoes every night. The lock on the front door was changed half way through the stay and a new key wasn't issued so we were locked out on many occasions. On a positive note, a fan was provided which cooled us slightly as the accommodation had no aircon.

enjoyed the room we stayed in here, the location however is a bit of a walk in to florence main centre but the room was really nice and spacious which was fantastic. Shower was somewhat average or below average but the bed was comfy and the wardrobes were very handy. Because my cell phone did not work it made checking in very difficult having to check in by calling them in order to be let in so make sure you have a working phone when you get in.
I have stayed in David for 6 nights in March 2009.
Excellent value for money, good location, very clean.
It is essential you inform lady who runs it about time you arriving since she is not normally around and there is no reception.
I would book with David again without thinking twice.

Traveler : Single Senior
Room was booked as a single with en-suite. It turned out that bathroom
was down the hall but a key was provided to allow me exclusive use.Location was close train station as advertised. One must phone the owner
on arrival as there is no reception desk.The floor was a bit dirty/dusty but no problem
The room contained an old but soft bed, a fridge, a TV with local stations,
a table, chair, lamp and a clothes closet.Overall excellent value at 20 Euro for a traveler looking for a sleeping room.
