david.tw.t Great folks, really nice family and extremely helpful. Location was hard to beat, 3 min from the Miyabashi monorail station, 10 min from the main shopping street. The only downside was at US$40 a room seemed a bit pricey (and compared to some of the guesthouses we saw being advertised on the street), but in terms of reliability that is not a bad premium to pay. Btw, there is a "maid cafe" on the bottom floor of the same building, and it turns out it really wasn't what we thought it was, funny stuff !

helen_amar I really enjoyed staying at Base. The staff were all very kind and helpful and when I left I felt that I wanted to stay longer because of all the nice people I met there =) The location is really close to the beach and not far from the monorail and busses. The room I stayed in were dormitory style four beds and had it's own toilet and shower. There was also an aircondition in the room though it was only on between 20.00-08.00 so I woke up at 8 when the room got warm. But that wasn't a problem really since I planned on getting up about that time anyway. Next time I go to Okinawa I will definitely stay at Base again :D

LondonBlue I basically used the guesthouse as a base to visit Okinawa and surrounding islands. I must say the staff has been invaluable in the help they provided and have gone to great lengths to make calls in my behalf, advise me on travel arrangements. I cannot thank them enough for their kindness!! Mr Blue Popovic
