x The average starting price for a place to stay in Okinawa is £13 per night.
david.tw.t Great folks, really nice family and extremely helpful. Location was hard to beat, 3 min from the Miyabashi monorail station, 10 min from the main shopping street. The only downside was at US$40 a room seemed a bit pricey (and compared to some of the guesthouses we saw being advertised on the street), but in terms of reliability that is not a bad premium to pay. Btw, there is a "maid cafe" on the bottom floor of the same building, and it turns out it really wasn't what we thought it was, funny stuff !

LondonBlue I basically used the guesthouse as a base to visit Okinawa and surrounding islands. I must say the staff has been invaluable in the help they provided and have gone to great lengths to make calls in my behalf, advise me on travel arrangements. I cannot thank them enough for their kindness!! Mr Blue Popovic
helen_amar I really enjoyed staying at Base. The staff were all very kind and helpful and when I left I felt that I wanted to stay longer because of all the nice people I met there =) The location is really close to the beach and not far from the monorail and busses. The room I stayed in were dormitory style four beds and had it's own toilet and shower. There was also an aircondition in the room though it was only on between 20.00-08.00 so I woke up at 8 when the room got warm. But that wasn't a problem really since I planned on getting up about that time anyway. Next time I go to Okinawa I will definitely stay at Base again :D
hejjahajnalka The hostel is really good located, the main street is very close, you can find shops and restaurants in the surrounding as well. You can reach it easily by monorail. It could be cleaned more often, the equipment is not hightech. But the owner is fluent in english, very friendly and he can help you if you have questions. Its good, really really cheap, and I met there more travellers, student and we had a great time together!
