libwhitty Jambo House has a nice location in old town and has a very pleasant rooftop terrace overlooking Lamu. Rooms are clean and comfortable, with fans and mosquito nets and well-maintained bathrooms. The owner is exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable and is happy to help with arrangements for donkey rides, day trips to Shela and other nearby beaches, dhow cruises, etc. Would definitely recommend Jambo House and would gladly stay there again myself.

alexmedved Actually, this is one of the best place I ever stayed in my life. Recommended for everyone, except for those who really hate to walk: it's still 30 min to Lamu and 20 min to Shela
michael.fo The Lamu-Island Villa is a nice and quiet place to stay. It lays in between Lamu and Shela. The housekeeper Ben is great for help and company, but Margaret steels the show. Nothing is to much for her. The white beaches are only a 20 minutes walk to Shela and Lamu, really nice place to eat, drink and shop, is only 10 minutes walking. The house is great and when we where there we had the house for ourselfs. The quiet pace let you come to yourself and is relaxing. And if you want a trip on a dhow just ask Margaret. Nice is also that there coming monkeys to the garden and play around. I advice this villa to everyone for a great stay at beautyfull Lamu.
