zaksame On my past visits to Nairobi my colleagues insisted on staying in one of the 'Big Name' hotels which I found to be soul-less with good service but not exactly what you might call homely.... And then I found the Wildebeest Camp. I could gush on all day about the wonderful tents; the fantastic people I've met there and had really invigorating conversations with; the wonderfully helpful and discreet staff; the beauty of the place; the proximity to the city centre; the overall relaxed atmosphere and of course barney - the dog who looks like Scooby Doo. It was like home away from home. NO! Scratch that, my home is not even close to how cool the Wildebeest camp is. Don't miss it. Really! Brendan (Ireland)

timothy.snell Fantastic, private and quiet place to stay near the centre of Nairobi. I only stayed one night and really appreciated the restful sleep. The owners of this property left an excellent breakfast basket for me and made sure that I had an enjoyable stay.

happyhippy2k Nice comfortably house with quiet relax garden and environment. All staffs are really friendly and helpful. Clean room but still have mosquitoes. It's far from city center and seems like no taxi driver know this place. Difficult to getting around, only by 15 min walk on the dusty road to catch matatu on Langata road. The taxi service is very expensive, start from 1000 ksh in any distance and any leg (though we just get around Karen museum area)e.g. to Carnivore 1000 Ksh, to Giraffe center 1500 ksh oneway(we catch local taxi for just 400 ksh on the return). Recommended for rest after the safari but be careful of the taxi price which is the only way to get out after dark!

gerd_ucker A small and simple B&B with very friendly staff. The location is save during daylight, I would not recommend to go there in the dark, but with Taxi this not a real problem.

markwroger It is a bit out of town, but great for the price. The owner is very friendly, and the house is very nice. It is secure and hospitable, but just not easy to get to Nairobi. Otherwise it is a great place.
