stef.econo Very friendly, welcoming and fantastic staff but very, very noisy especially if you have a room overlooking the road. Don't expect much sleep.

joonas.ker Riga is an expensive city (especially regarding the accommodation), so I would expect a little more comfort from my hostel with this price somewhere else. However, Central Hostel Riga is a very cozy place with a friendly staff who are willing to help you out with anything you have in your mind. Our double room with a bathroom was very plain and moderate, but we enjoyed it. However, the doors of the rooms are very thin, so this could be a problem, if people are talking at night. But because it surely is a place of the backpackers, usually everybody is sensible enough to take it into consideration. We really liked the way the breakfast was served. :)
jcarpenter It rained most of the time but the city was small enough for me to get out when it wasn't raining and see the bits I wanted to see. The Occupation Museum was great and the receptionist was very helpful. The floors seemed to be very sticky and the 3 flights of stairs were no fun, especially with bags but overall I had a positive stay. By luck I found that I could by my bus ticket from them which saved me getting drenched. I would return
gepke_koop Our location was perfect; just one street away from the main street and no bothering of outgoing people . The service was also very well. The girl behind the desk was really helpful. And what I appreciated a lot were the lovely beds with thick matrasses, clean fresh sheets and a clean bathroom. The thing I missed was a common room were to sit and relax and hang out with other guests. And a common computer to use for looking up information would have been nice as an extra service. In the end I would really recommend this hostel. In a few weeks I'm gonna visit Riga again with other people and I'm thinking of booking this hostel again! -Gepke, The Netherlands
