Gijzer Very friendly and safe family-run hostal. It`s not in the city center but easely reached by taxi for (no more) than 50 pesos one way. Make sure the driver knows where he goes. Once there you`ll enjoy the peace of not being in the city center. Food is good and cheap. Breaktfast and dinner. Small lokal shop is nearby. I will recommend this place very much. I`ll stay there again when I`m in Oaxaca.

ADJC4-US I stayed at Posada Don Mario for 3 nights at first, Oaxaca is fantastic and Posada is within walking distance to all the tourist sites all rooms are private, we stayed in a room with private bathroom on the rooftop, it was comfortable, clean and colorful, the “Economic Breakfast” is included and delicious “Enfrijoladas, then Entomatadas and Mexican eggs”, finally Norma and her staff are very friendly and helpful

rachaelvau The Aitana was charming, and the staff were super-friendly and helpful. The room was large and airy, and very clean. They have filtered water available all the time. It's only a few short blocks to the Zoccalo, and two blocks to the best coffee in Oaxaca (as recommended by Mario at the front desk). Perfect location.
