pelicanwor After some confusion initially regarding my booking (they tried to place me in a shared room when I had booked and paid for a single room) my stay was wonderful. The Guesthouse is very clean and quiet, the staff friendly and helpful, breakfast is good. I have booked a couple more nights stay before I leave Mongolia. Jan Duncan, Australia

jamsyn Had an absolutely AMAZING stay at Golden Gobi. Bob, Erika, Mama and the rest of the team really go out of their way to make sure you have a good time. Tea and coffee made for you whenever your passing. We went on a nine day trip in the Gobi Desert organised through Golden Gobi and I couldn't recommend it more. Both the Zaya, our guide, and Mogi, the driver, were fantastic. So many incredible memories.

t_melendres Mongolian Steppe House is situated in a dodgy area but I must say is very central. Just behind the guesthouse are restaurants and shops galore. The house is nothing to write home about: but I can say that it is very clean, a laptop is available for use with good working shower/toilet with hot water. If you just disembarked from the Trans Sib, and all you need is a good night's sleep before heading out to the country side of Mongolia, then this is all the place you'll ever need. The house owner: Eiggy, is very efficient, has more than adequate english and can set up a pick up/driver from the train station or to the National Park. Cheaper than the other hotel transfers... Plus, Eiggy leaves the house to her guests. The house has only 3 rooms. Very quiet & private.
