darrylandleonie The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The Dar was spotlessly clean and the breakfast was excellent. The Dar is very spacious and we enjoyed the living areas as well as our rooms. We got sick (not from the Dar) and the staff went out of their way to help us get a doctor and phone our travel insurance in Australia. We weren't charged for these calls. A lovely place to stay. Our children enjoyed the rooftop terrace and the pizza place across the road. It's a little walk to the main part of the medina but the bonus is you can be dropped off and picked up at your door and the taxis rank is very close too. Mohammed, the owner, offered options for trips but wasn't pushy. The things we arranged through him were all excellent and all our requests were met, and there was no push for additional payment above the price arranged. Would definitely recommend for singles, couples and families.
csmrunning I am so pleased we stayed at Dar Sienna - Ahmed, Said & Saba (apologies if spelt wrong) couldn't do enough for us. We received so much more than we expected or ever recieved anywhere else we have ever stayed. The acommodation is beautiful with everything you need. We stayed in two different rooms over 4 nights and both are clean, comfortable beds with clean towels. A lot of our time was spent sitting on the roof terrace sipping mint tea and chatting with Ahmed, the manager. We met many other travellors during our stay and they all loved Dar Sienna. the location is perect - the roof terrace is high and you can see all across the Medina to the mountains, tombs, ruins the palace in the distance. Nothing can beat sitting up on the terrace in the very early morning watching the sun rise and hearing the morning call to prayer - very spiratual place and the medina has a beautfil hue.
