linda_ekbl I didn’t like that there were no Electrical suckets in the rooms, and you had to leave your belongings in the hall way for it to charge.

Jules Y Chateau Franz is in an ideal location pretty much in the centre of town. It offers free popcorn, bbq, movies to borrow and has a spa. It also offers a good internet connection point. We stayed in a double ensuit which was excellent value for money and couldn't have asked for more. Also as we were staying with the hostel we got two for one drinks at Bar Blue Ice. couldn't have asked for more!

mjdessens The cottages are clean with a funky decor. The kitchenette is basic, but is backed up with a great communal kitchen. There are lots of communal spaces to relax and meet other travellers. It is in walking distance from everything. The staff are relaxed and helpful.
Sander February 2013 review: Good to have been back in this hostel again. The building is getting a bit run down, and the kitchen in particular was way overcrowded and understocked on this visit, but overall it's still a very nice hostel, in an amazing location. Knocking off a star for facilities and overall, but still recommended! Original April 2005 review: One of the newest purpose-built YHAs in New Zealand, this hostel might be one of the nicest I've ever stayed at. The kitchen/dining/lounge area is huge and feels very welcoming, the rooms are great, and all the facilities are top-knotch. I specifically have to praise the building itself, which feels very "organic", rather than being just a boring block.
