pablo008 Hotel D'Lido is about 25 to 45 min from the airport. The people are nice and helpful. room was clean and mosquito tight. the bed was comfortable, the AC noisy. the water heater in the shower didn't work. The price is good - i would stay there again if I was going to be doing things down town. since the transportation to and from the airport cost $20. each way. it didnt turn out to be a much better deal the the Best Western at the port (a 2 min. walk to the airport) The double with AC was $35.

izaeljoaomcamar honestly BackPackers is one of the best guest houses ever, and believe me I have been to almost every country. The service is excellent kind enough but without turning into nightmare, meaning they keep distance but are ready to assist you upon request. very clean a littkle bit hot inside the chambers but if you consider the price AC would be too much to ask, however if you are willing to spend some extra 5 usd you get full AC. you have a grocery store right in front and you may walk to the the mall and take a bus to almost every point. you can even get to meet the President as I did twice and also his peculiar wifw La Chayo. Believe me Nicaragua has a lot to offer much mnuch better than the over rated Costa Rica. I did enjoy my stay. I want to thank the team of Manahuac even the security who was always worried when I stayed out at nights. hugs to them all... i have only one suggestion please do change the blankets they are new but the fabric is terrible and makes you feel even warmer cotton blankets would do much better..
