We are the SMALLEST hostel in town. We promise a Clean and Convenient place to stay while in Borneo.
With only 3 rooms, and 2 bathrooms you are ensured of privacy and plenty of space. We run this small place like our own home with our personal care, ensuring the place is clean and fresh all the time.
Located in the city centre - Pubs, 24-hour convenient stores, supermarkets, taxi stands, bus station, movies, tourism offices, tour agents, cafe, local open air coffee shops, restaurants, etc. are all at walking distances.
As outdoor and Eco enthusiast ourselves, we can provide you with information & tips to do the following activities;
- Scuba diving / Snorkelling / Jungle trekking / River Safari / Kayaking / Waterfalls / Dolphin / Turtle (Seasonal) / Orang Utan / Crocodile / Rafflesia (Seasonal) / Probosis Monkey
Being locals and having indulge in Eco adventures in our own backyard, we can definitely provide some local travel tips to you if you are experiencing Borneo for the first time.

I do not understand why this hostel is highly rated. It was the WORST hostel that i stayed in. The main reason is that when there was a problem there was NO ONE to contact. We were given a set of keys. The keys to the doors were very difficult to open. Took us 10 minuted to open each door! On one occasion we had to ask people from a near by bar to help open the door.
I definitely will NOT recommend this hostel to anyone

1. Unable to contact with the numbers provided.
2. Booked with arrival time at 1700hrs, but received email of hostel not staffed and asking me of the arrival time once again.
3. The place looks really torn down.
4. Staircase not even lighted, dangerous when coming up and down.

My husband and I (senior travelers) are so happy staying here, the price is great R15 a night with continental breakfast included.
The hostel is upstairs and it is only small with 3 bedrooms which are 2 bunk rooms and 1 double bed room all have fans. We have this one. Kitchen and small lounge library with book swap.No cooking facilities but tea,coffee and toaster facilities. Supermarket just down the road.
Dont be put off with entrance metal grate door and no signs. Just a 5min walk down to the river water front.
Wesley the owner picked us up from the airport and spent several hours telling us about the city and what to see. Then gave us the keys to our room and hostel and left. He lives elsewhere and works during the day. We can contact him by phone if we need to and leave messages at the desk here if we miss him. We have a lock up cabinet for our passports etc. We are left to our own devices and its all on trust which we just love .
Kuching is clean, friendly,interesting city and we went to see the Orangutang national park yesterday and they came right up to us. Better than Sandakan in the north of Borneo.
The food is fantastic here you can eat, Chinese, Malay, Moslem, European, MacDonalds and KFC.
There are lots of Shopping Malls and small eating places. All price ranges. Loved the seafood market above the car park. Thankyou Wesley for having us we feel safe.calm and very happy. Helen and Ross Australia
