HOSTEL Tower Bridge Backpackers is an intimate and beautiful hostel located near Carrizalillo beach in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca. We are only a short walking distance to the tranquil beach of Playa Bacocho and Playa Carrizalillo, the main downtown area and numerous restaurants, nightclubs and other activities.
We have recently gone through a extensive refurbishment
and have added too new bungalows with all facilities included within a fantastic price and a fantastic location...10mins walk from Playa Carrizalillo beach
Our goal is to provide you a relaxing environment with a large assortment of amenities for your entertainment, including a large free form swimming pool only steps from your door that features a rock garden. The property is completely landscaped with a large variety of colorful native tropical plants which adds to the feel of Oaxaca, Mexico. The property also features a large barbeque area for your convenience. Come and enjoy the Tower Bridge Backpackers for a taste of Mexico with a touch of English service.
Each bungalow includes a large living room with cable tv, kitchen, fan, sun deck and all have access to our tropical swimming pool and games area with pool table, table tennis, dart boards, surf boards, buggy boards and four track all terrain vehicles are available for rent.
The hostel also provides Spanish Lessons. The school is just four blocks away. All levels posible, private or group classes. Professional Spanish Teacher, travelling vocabulary. The school is close to restaurants and the local market.

My stay at Tower Bridge has amazing! They have lots of rooms varying in size and price. They have a pool table as well as ping pong for your entertainment. Many many hammocks and lounge chairs surround the jungle like setting. There's a perfectly sized pool in the middle of the property, it's like a little lagoon with ideal water temperature. There's common areas with comfy couches and chairs, board games, magazines and books. They have a delightful outdoor bar adorned with Beatles posters and hanging surfboards. There's hammocks and couches in the bar as well. They always have cold beer and an ever increasing stock of booze and mixers. The bartender will make you anything you want at a much cheaper price than the bars in town or at the beach. They play great music all the time and you can most likely plug in
your own iPod at the bar if it's not loaded with rubbish. There's a large shared kitchen area with two refrigerators, pots and pans, plates, bowls, and all the utensils anyone needs. There's an open air built-in BBQ for your grilling purposes. Oh yeah, they have free wi-fi and cable tv, I watch a little ESPN sometimes. The best beach I've personally ever been to is a ten minute walk, it's magnificent. The big market is only a few blocks up the street, they have the best prices. There's countless restaurants within walking distance of Tower Bridge and taxis never ever cost more than 20-25 pesos to go anywhere in Puerto. It's very secure also. There are steel doors on the entry, safes and padlocks for your room. It's monitored 24/7 with security personell. I really do love the vibe at T.B., I may never leave. It's ideal for anyone who likes fun and sun. I'm here alone but would have no problem bringing my kids here. The owner Steve is very cool, his brother Chris always has a story to tell and the rest of the staff make this oasis even better. I highly recommend Tower Bridge, this is the best hostel experience to date for me.

stayed here in jan 11, had an absolute ball. the atmosphere of tower bridge was amazing, along with the people and the staff. the chilled out environment makes you feel very comfortable while the prices are very reasonable. the staff are friendly and will help in anyway they can. will definitely visit again, i highly recommend

I stayed for six nights with a varied amount of travelers coming in and out. Steve, the owner, Cecelia and Carla are very gracious and helpful. The atmosphere is lively and comfortable. Carizilillo, the nearest beach is one of the most beautiful in the area. I enjoyed my stay and encourage others to come and take advantage of this affordable and well run hostel.

The hostel was a solid place. The beach is not too far about a ten minute walk and the facilities are good. The beer is at a great price, and Aaron makes some pretty good cocktails.

tower bridge is just a 10 minute walk from the beautiful and chilled beach of carrizalillo which is the best beach for swimming, in a nice quiet part of town. Aaron is always on hand and very helpful and both he and steve have been very accommodating. it has a very relaxed atmosphere with an international crowd and broad selection of accommodation, huge rooms and free wifi!
The tower bridge hostel is located 10-15min walk to beautiful beach Carillizo.
Steve the owner is lots of fun. Amazing Swiming pool, Free Internet and Wifi available which is helpfull.chilled out hostel, nice place to meet people.
I stayed here for one week and it was a very easy place to stay, you could stay for 2-3 weeks and just chill out. It def has that vibe to it, great little lagoon swimming pool, free internet and pool, massive TV all set in a bungalow style. It could be upkept abit better, but overall I would stay here again. Steve the owner is a character, from England when he is there, a good guy. Overall I was very happy with my 7 days there, and would recommend it.

10 minute walk to swimming beach Carrizalillo, but better than staying right on the beach at Zicatella where its too dangerous to swim.
