Slottsskogen Hostel is located in the western part of the city centre in the lively Linnestaden area.
If you want shared accomodation we can offer you comfortable living in 4- and 5-bedded rooms. All the rooms are equipped with TV and a hairdryer and of course free WiFi. In the shared rooms there are also drawers for your bags, you can lock them with a padlock. In the 5-bedded rooms the fifth bed is a bedsofa. Our prices are from SEK 195 per person. The accommodation is well worth its price!
If you want an even cheaper option you can choose our dormitories (12- or 16-bedded rooms).
We also have private 2- 3- and 4-bedded rooms. They are also equipped with TV and a hairdryer. Most of our rooms have bunkbeds.
When you stay with us you have access to a fully equipped kitchen.
You can also choose to enjoy our fantastic ecological breakfast buffet every morning (for only SEK 65 extra).
In the evening, we suggest that you try our sauna, play a game of billiards or why not watch the movie we show each evening!
Most of Gothenburg´s sights, like its canal, gardens and museums are within walking distance. We are located in a very nice area of the city and you will find lots of bars, pubs, restaurants and cafes in the neighbourhood.

It is a very nice hostel you can stay with not so high expense. I lived there 2 nights. The first night was not so pleasant because the booked 5 mix bed room is direct beside the kitchen and the step is also in front of my door so I could hear the people go around outside. I shared the room with a roommate so I had little privacy. The second night I changed to the other part of the hostel with a 2 bed privacy room, which located again the main part of the hostel over the street. although I got a small room without window, I felt quite comfortable. The bed is also much better than the last one. I paid 115 SEK more for this upgrade which I think is very wealthwhile.

There are three buildings, more or less modern. Some rooms have no window. There were building works and I got a room next to it so it was like they were working in my head! Not that nice to give me such a room if they have another one free.
The kitchens are very nice with all you might need. There is free access to the internet and the bathrooms are mostly modern. The location is very nice and you are in the inner city in 15 minutes. All in all it is recommended!

Slottsskogens is a huge hostel! It even has its own sauna, a large kitchen plus two dining/billiard rooms. It is situated close to Slottsskogens park, a lovely place to go when the weather is nice: there are elks, deer and many many paths to wander around for hours. It takes about 20 minutes of relaxed walking to get to the lively district of Haga and about 10 more to get to the city centre. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hostel facilities were clean: the kitchen was cleaned every morning and thus tidy and neat. The bathrooms were not as perfectly clean but I guess it would be impossible to keep bathrooms superclean in a hostel with that many guests. Especially in the evening there were always a lot of people in the kitchen: cooking or getting ready to have a fun night out. Nevertheless it was never too noisy.

Close to Haga, which is a very nice part of the city. Very small room with one bed above the other (all other rooms where we were able to look into had two separate beds). Toilet and shower always in one room, most of the time it's very humid and warm in there. No paper towels, most of the hand dryers not working. Staff was friendly, but didn't react fast (paper towels...).

It was nice that we were upgraded as the hostel wasn't fully booked. So we could stay at the new building on the other side of the road. To us it seemed that the rooms renovation was just finished and not many people stayed in there before. Everything was absolutely clean, nice an new. Super! Only the guestkitchen was a little dirty ... but only caused by other guests ... :-(
The only negative thing to talk about is the traffic noise from the street. The window had to be shut if one wanted to sleep or talk in the room. But as the window was of high quality, it functionned well.
We can absolutely recommend a stay at Slottsskogens Youth Hostel!!

It's a greate place, if you are looking for a cheap and friendly accomodation. Unfortunately, there are some problems with Internet cables, but it doesn't matter, because you can find there practically everything unpretentious traveller needs.

We were only one night in Slottskogen but it was nice and the reception absolutely friendly. The rooms ,beds and bathrooms were clean. Also there was a huge kitchen and free internet.
Overall it was perfect!

We stayed two nights in Göteborg- The hostel was quite komfortable and the location was perfect. In the night you can go out and make party and over the day you can go shopping or sightseeing. Greetings Nicole und Rebekka
