Chambers is a well-situated hostel that's good for one thing: Laying your head at night. It's not the best place for meeting fellow travelers as there is no real common area. Neither is there a breakfast service that might lead folks to congregate. The beds, however, are really comfortable! Located in Taksim, where you can find a range of eating options, dancing options, and shopping, Chambers places you in pole position to enjoy even a brief stint in Istanbul. It's for those who have their day planned out and only need to know that home is easily reachable and somewhat cozy, at that. For those who are looking for a group of fellow ragers with whom to take on the night, Chambers is not the most promising launching pad.

Extremely seedy. Not for solo women travellers.
This hostel (and the cafe next door) is beautifully decorated with vintage furniture. The owners are friendly and helpful and will go out of their way to give you tea. Lovely place, highly recomended.
