I enjoyed six excellents nights in this brilliant hostel in November. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Chicago. Would use it again and again.

I was very pleased with the experience I had while staying at the Chicago Getaway Hostel. It was within walking distance of great places to eat and had a large kitchen for those who wanted to dine in. The free WiFi was very accommodating as well as the newly remodeled rooms. The staff was friendly and very helpful in the process of reserving a room. And, you just can't beat the price!
If you want a safe, super fun, very convenient place to stay on your trip to Chicago I suggest Chicago Getaway. I got a private-private room and I was amazed at how much good clean space I had. There is hot water, A/C-Heater, nice clean beds, Outlets, Communal Kitchen, Communal bathrooms, lobby with a Grand Piano, a Den room to kick it and chill, pool table, free 24/7 internet cafe inside, Cool artwork, and best of the all the Staff is AMAZING! They will give you an opinion and advice if you need of where to go and how to get there and their own experiences. They made my stay SO MUCH MORE Comfortable and inviting. You definitely have to appreciate communal living, it's like dorm and the people make it even more interesting and enjoyable. I will definitely be returning there on my next visit.
Great location with a friendly staff. Appears they have recently remodeled. The price is so cheap that one cannot complain about anything. Free internet which is nice, and located right near Lincoln Park with great nightlife and a young crowd. Can't beat it!

The staff were very friendly and the room was very clean and comfortable. It is clear there have been major improvements since our last stay. The only issue we had was that the Traveler's Point info for the hostel noted they had available parking. Upon our check in, we were told this was not true, and had to find street parking nearby. We lucked out and found a decent spot, but this was probably just luck, as it is Chicago. We could have been really inconvenienced by this discrepancy in advertising.
