The Hollywood Downtowner Inn is literally blocks from the famous Mann's Chinese Theater, El Capitan, Pantages, Nickelodeon Studios, Frederick's of Hollywood, Ripley's Believe it or Not, Griffith Park & Observatory, the Metro to Hollywood Studios and many exotic, unusual places to shop and feast. For those of you love the Beach, Santa Monica, Malibu and Venice Beach are beckoning you! We have guided beach tours available in Southern California as well as tourist guide books. This place was such a nice surprise.
I stayed here for 2 nights with a friend. It was our first stop in the states after a 14 hour flight from Sydney.
They let us check into our room early as they could obviously see how tired we were for which i was very appreciative.
The room is really big considering what you are paying. Private bathroom was great.
We had 2 double beds when i was certain i only booked 1 which was also a nice surprise.
walking distance to the main attractions in hollywood (20 minutes) but its a straight road so you really cant get lost.
I think the hotel is bordering on a bad area but we didnt run into any trouble being there.
There isnt a lot a security in the hotel which worried me a little, someone could actually walk off the street to your door if they really wanted to but we didnt have any problems.
I would recommend this place to anyone!
