We booked a private suite that was suppose to be just a block away from the beach. On arrival, and not stated on the web site, we were told and then shown on a map that the so called suite was at least five blocks further away from the beach. We had to get a taxi to it. Although they gave us the money to pay for the taxi, we were left standing on the curb trying to hail a cab after also being told that they wouldn't take us there because it was a short trip. After eventually being hailed a taxi by the worker, we arrived at an apartment block. We couldn't get in because we hadn't even been told the code. Now being distressed, we phoned the hostel and got the code to get in. Upon finally getting in, we were confronted with an apartment, not a suite that was disgusting and smelt like it needed a good airing. It was nothing like what was shown on the web site and we have photos to prove it. It was bordering on cockroach material. I would like to know how awards are judged and who does it because, they obviously were only shown the best and not what is actually give out. We did not stay at this disgusting place and are now pursuing our money back which they have so far refused. This is false advertising and deception. If you are looking for a nice low budget hotel, go around the corner to Hotel Clinton that have really nice staff that actually care and look after you. What you see on the web site is not what you get. Photos will be posted if refund is not given.
