My friend and I had to book here last minute in a 6 bed mixed dorm. We weren't expecting much and were still disappointed. There were 3 bunk beds shoved into a room no bigger than an average size bedroom. No air-conditioning or fan, the only window was one on the front door which was tiny, therefore we sweated up a storm all night. The plastic mattresses didn't help either. THe bathrooms were bad, the shower I used had mold on the shower curtain. I felt worse after having showered. The only lock on the dorm room door was useless, there was no key as you could only lock it from the inside which means once u left the room it was unlocked, u couldn't lock it at night or else u would lock the other guests out. Its not safe and your luggage is open for anyone to take. They offer safes, but they are real tiny and u need a spare padlock. Upon arrival we were more concerned about who we would be sharing a room with (as we are female so we normally opt for female dorms) but the other dorm members weren't even the issue - minus the fact that we were sleeping on top of each other. After we left we were told by someone else who stayed there (and hated it) that u got your 5$ linen deposit back, but we were never told it was a deposit therefore never got it back. We also never got towels. The front desk isn't open until 3pm. We were told we could leave our bags with the cafe next door which was ok, but not very secure. The location isn't that good either. It's a long walk up loads of hills and stairs to get to anything of importance. The guy at the front desk was nice though, so nothing against him. We checked out the next day and checked into the HI hostel, much better. I would never stay here again.
