The Helter Skelter Hostel is the former Cubhouse Hostel and we go back to where it all started - a hostel for backpackers. We are going �back to the roots�.
Dorms and Private Rooms, simple, clean and cozy. Clean but shared bathrooms with separated showers. Sheets included. Self Catering Kitchen. No Lockout, no Curfew. 24 hours open. Pool Table. Friendly international staff.
The Helter Skelter Hostel is most centrally located in the heart of Berlin. It is very close to the old town, the sights and the museums. We are also near to the Potsdamer Platz, the Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag. Within 10 minutes walk you can reach the Check Point Charlie or the Jewish Museum. Almost all sights are within walking distance.
The Hostel is not only in the middle of Berlin\'s Nightlife area, but just a few metres away from the famous \'Tacheles\' - probably the most famous origin of the new berlin.
But you don\'t have to leave the hostel to party! - there is a nightclub downstairs.
Hang out in the Reception, have dinner with new friends, party all night and chill during the day. Back to a real travellers community - back to roots.

We have been five nights in this hostel, in June 2010. In our opinion, the only positive thing is of course the wonderful location and a very good breakfast for the price of 3 euros (is free if you get the hostel for more than 3 nights). The staff have been fine.
The worst thing about this hostel is the lack of cleanliness and also, is very noise at night during the weekends.
Fridays and Saturdays concerts in the courtyard next door... They have free ear plugs at Reception...
Our triple room was a disaster. It was very dirty, the carpet was disgusting and not to mention mattresses and pillows. Definitely, the look of this room does not match the pictures they shown on the Web... Regarding the bathrooms, also very dirty and neglected. I understand that part of the responsibility lies with the people who use them, but the hostel staff should empty bins and to brush the floor and toilets not only once a day...
For that price did not expect a furniture-10, but at least a clean bedroom and as they show in the pictures... So that, not repeat or recommend it!!
