Refugio del Río Hostel, Boquete, Panama

Known in town as the ‘luxurious’ hostel for backpackers, you are always surprised to discover that such a beautiful house has been transformed into a hostel.

The communal areas are the best amongst the low budget hostels in Boquete. The kitchen is very large indeed and is fully equipped. The laundry facilities are also very spacious with brand new appliances and the wooden furniture found in the dining room give it an intimate touch that will make you feel just at home. A TV and DVD are also available in a cozy living room to watch some good movies. If you stay here you will certainly spend many hours resting, chilling out and relaxing while you overlook the peaceful creek and green yard full of trees.

Our place has been carefully furnished and decorated and has 6 bedrooms all of which have private bathrooms. 2 of the bedrooms are dorm rooms that can accommodate up to 6 and 10 people each. The other 4 bedrooms have Cable TV, a double bed and one of them also has a single bed with a beautiful view to the garden and to the creek behind the property. We also have a nice tree house in front of the river.

Enrique Malek International Airport is located in the city of David, Chiriquí. There are taxis and buses as well as the major car rental companies are represented at the airport. By taxi to Boquete: It can cost 20 – 25 Dollars and it can take about 45 minutes. The second option is to take a taxi to the bus station and there, you can take a bus to Boquete which cost $1.45 and can take you about 1h. Get off at the last stop. From bus station to us, see map attached and follow the directions below. It is only two and a half blocks away by walking. When you get off the bus at the park, walk back down the road one block, take the road between the Delta Gas Station and Los Establos Plaza, up one block, cross the bridge, take a right and a little bit further ahead you will see Hostal Refugio del Río on you right.
