I stayed in a room with private bath. Great price. Location is on the Main Bazaar street close (walking distance) to everything. Stayed here July 7-11 and July 26. Let me store my big suit case while traveling around Sarawak. Very friendly staff, Manager Patrick and Receptionist Catherine. They were a big help during my stay. No knowledge about the dormitories. Breakfast is toast and fruit.

The furnishings were way way above my expectations. It is also very centrally located, close to cinemas, fantastic foodstalls and the Waterfront area is just right across the street! I'd go back to Kuching Waterfront again, especially for the warm, helpful and professional staff!

This place is a little gem!
We spent 4 nights here while in Kuching, a sleepy little town on a lovely river.

The staff were welcoming from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. They provided helpful information on how to get to see some of the sights with no pushy sales attempts which was a relief and a nice surprise. Breakfast was included and although limited (toast, tea and coffee) the manager came down each morning and sliced up some fruit or shared some interesting snacks with us.

The lodge's rooms are simple but very tastefully decorated with natural wood headboards and tables, and cute partitioned bathrooms. The showers were great & always the right temperature. And oh, the beds - so comfortable.

They have lockers for valuables, a nice sitting area downstairs with papers, and water coolers so you can fill up your water bottles each day. Did I mention the lodge is right on the waterfront? Given it's name you would assume this but you never know.... The Waterfront Bazarre is a quiet little street even though it's the main road, so no need to worry about noise.

My only criticism is that you cannot access tea and coffee facilities during the day and into the evening. They did provide these on request but it would be a nice touch to be able to make a cuppa when you really wanted one. But really, in the scheme of things, this is a minor detail.

I would highly recommend staying at this lovely place in this lovely little town!
