The staff at Peking International Youth Hostel were extremely hospitable, especially Sunny, a lovely lady who tried to help me find my diary even though it couldnt be found. the place was extremely clean and maybe even better than a hotel!

We like this place. It was very welcoming from the very moment the doorbell is answered. " Gin lai" (come in) was the sweet voice from the reception. When we opened the door, the scents of roses an lily greeted us before the smiling faces of Dana and Hui. The small hall is cozy and warm. It is a homely place. I am particularly impressed with Dana as she could handle 3 jobs a time...... very fast and hardworking worker.
Due to availability, we family of 3 had to cramped for a small standard room. I would have stay longer if we could get a bigger room.
I am impressed with the key card in a courtyard house and happy with the powerful hairdryer. Room is warm in the coolday. It will be nice if you can at least provide basic toiletries like hand soap. Self service laundary would best be completed with dryer.
It is a homely place to stay and I will definately stay here on my next visit.

Very nice, cosy hostel in the old city centre of Beijing! (next to Forbidden City)
Service is excellent, staff is willing to help you with everything and speak English excellent.
The hostel is very clean and tidy. Rooms are fine; beds are ok (including sheets and pillow) and the bathroom is very clean also. (nice warm water shower too!)If you are bringing your laptop along you have free WiFi in the lobby/lounge room. Room rates are excellent compared to what you get! Value is 5+
They serve very nice meals too. Not only chinese, but also pizza and other good meals (also american breakfast etc.)
Don't hesitate to book this hostel.

Great place to stay, smack in the middle of Beijing. Within walking distance of a number of sites including the Forbidden City and with easy access to the Subway.
Friendly and helpful staff, rooms were ok and decent value considering the central location. A good, if limited range of food available. I would definately recommend this place to friends.
