It is very Shabbat-friendly. Good food for dinner, nice staff, beautiful breakfast. Many ibex roaming the property in the morning - exciting! 7-minute walk from the dead sea swimming area and 20 minute walk to a big waterfall. Next to the luscious Ein Gedi Kibbutz.
Highly recommended - looks like a hotel with full dead sea view.
Worth every penny. Clean, quiet.
I went as a romantic couply weekend - but great also for families, friend gatherings, single person getaways.

I enjoyed my stay and it is really good value for money. I did not like the area where we could swim in the Dead Sea and travelled with the Egged Bus to Ein Bokek to swim.
I find the Ein Gedi Youth Hostel good value for money. The staff at reception where always helpful and the food good. The rooms are clean and comfortable.
During my stay a tourbus full of teenagers booked in for two nights. It was very unpleasant in the evenings, because their music was very loud, even until the early hours of the mornings and no control were executed to enable the other guests' nightrest. I found this very bad.

Very nice place to stay. Great location and the view from the balcony is amazing. Very clean and nice service. Breakfast also very nice.

The desk staff at the Youth Hostel & Guest House was most obliging, and readily agree to our request to vary our booked time there. It was a pleasant surprise to have several Ibex grazing on the grass in front of our rooms. My granddaughters were delighted.
In its location, and being a Youth Hostel, one should not perhaps expect gourmet meals (dinner and breakfast), but this was one area where the standard offered disappointed.

Wow! We were assigned a room with a balcony overlooking the dead sea- it was absolutely breathtaking. Nothing between a quiet dinner on the balcony that we had bought from the kibbutz shop next door and an uninterrupted view of the sea. the room was clean and large, bed very comfortable and a perfect place to unwind after hiking at teh ein gedi nature reserve next door (walking distance). We also made use of the free beaches to soak/float in the dead sea- perfect location. Would definately come back.
If you want to rest it`s a perfect place.
The staff is very useful and nice.
The food (breakfast, dinner) is probably the best we had in Israel.
Comfortable stay, adequate rooms with good aircon. Good value evening meal and adequate breakfast. For Israel this is a bargain.
