This was a great little find, so glad we stayed here!! It's a little hard to find (tucked away in the back streets) but the plus of this is that it is very quiet (aside from the really annoying doorbell that goes off anytime stands anywhere near the front door). The older lady who works there is adorable and was so relieved that I could speak Japanese when we checked in (there is another guy working there who speaks English but he had the day off when we arrived and she had been stressing about having to check us in with the language barrier). Speaking Japanese was actually a real advantage here for a number of reasons (asking at nearby shops for directions to actually find it, checking in, and asking staff for help in finding other things including a very close-by and very hot "sento" public bath), but I think you could probably still get by with only English. The room itself was really cute, and even included a little rock garden, but the downside was the bathroom was a little on the smelly side - left the door closed and fan on permanently - but luckily this smell only stayed in the bathroom and didn't venture in to the actual room. There's free internet (fairly fast connection, 2 computers provided and wifi), and a fridge in the room, but that's about as far as the facilities go. Really well situated too - less than 5 minutes walk from Shin-Okubo station on the Yamanote line with trains every 2 minutes to shinjuku (next stop) and shibuya (3 stops away), plus lots of good places to eat near the station (inlcuding a number of Korean restaurants on the other side of the station). Overall a really good experience, would definitely stay here again.

It is in a good location although trying to find it from Shin-Okubo Station was pretty difficult.
