Regarding the big earthquake that occured in Japan on March 11th, there are no guests or hotel staff who are injured in Shinjuku City Hotel N.U.T.S Tokyo.

We made sure that hotels are safe,and we are operating as usual.

The hotel is located in SHINJUKU.It is two minutes away from the Metoro station named SHINJUKU-GYOENMAE station on the Marunouchi line (red line). Situated right by the Shinjuku Imperial Garden, which has fantastic landscapes and shows all the beauty of Japan as its colors change from season to season, you will enjoy a very restful stay in a quiet area.

We have couple of room re-decorated in Modern Japanese Style designed by famous architecture called "upsetters". JAPANESE new graphic art you can see at the 6th floor.

Limited English spoken by some staff but others OK. We had booked a broken stay - 1 night on arrival in Tokyo then 3 nights later in the week after some sightseeing up north. Despite paying deposit for all accomodation when we booked months prior to our stay, the hotel demanded another 10% deposit for the later 3 nights when we checked in on the first night - desk clerk couldnt (or wouldnt) understand when I protested. Otherwise the Hotel was OK and conveniently located.

The hotel has a good location , only a few minutes walk from the closest subway station or some 20 minutes from Shinjuku station.
The staff was helpful and we were able to make ourselves understood in English with little trouble.
The room was a little cramped, as it had one large bed with an extra bed placed next to it using up most of the free space, but there was enough space to put our things without being unable to get around.
The bathroom was very spacious in comparison, nearly as big as the room itself.
Both the room and the bathroom were cleaned daily during our stay.

All in all, a pleasant stay which I recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Overall the stay here was great! The rooms were clean, ensuite was great. Location is very central, perfect for first time visitors to Tokyo. Its a bit overpriced for a budget hotel. I would stay here again.

Excellent for the price. Staff does not speak the best English, but are very hospitable and friendly. They even let us store our luggage for a few days after we checked out. Awesome place.

I was not happy with the 3rd bed in the room as it was a makeshift bed tied together with 2 coffee tables and 2 big scattered cushions with a mattress on top of it. It was not a proper roll out bed.
