The Welcome Swallow Backpackers is set in wild subtropical forest only 10 minutes from amazing sandy beaches. It is a great place to relax for a few days after Paihia and Auckland before the drive to Cape Reinga. The Welcome Swallow Backpackers is in Northland. You can take a bus to Kerikeri or Kaeo and ask us for a pick-up. You can fly to Bay of Islands Airport or you can drive on the Twin Coast Discovery Road. We are 45 minutes north of The Bay of Islands on the way to Cape Reinga. Head for Matauri Bay and follow the signs.
