Bonjour Pension, Ayvalik, Turkijë

This old building is being used as a pension, now, named Bonjour Pension and lightens up the 5000 years history of cute beautiful Ayvalik.

During early 1900's, Ayvalik had played an important role in international, overseas relations by having French, Norwegian, English, Italian and Greek Embassies; fortunately this building had been used as an Embassy of France where many serious decisions had been taken by the French Colony in town. The writing "L Union d'Paris" stands still as a witness it those historical days on the top of outdoor gate.

Over 3 centuries resisting to the time, building keeps all original specialties up to date. Additionally the owners today Mrs. Hatice ARGA and Mr. Yalçin ARGA try their best to protect and introduce it to everyone concerned with historical buildings.

We have 12 rooms and 30 beds.

We also serve breakfast rich in content such as having pure original Ayvalik olive, olive oil, cheese, delicious marmalade kinds, honey, fresh eggs, fresh vegetables and fruits.

By Bus: It takes 8-9 hours to reach Ayvalik from Istanbul. There are many alternative bus companies from Istanbul (Varan,Kamil Koc, Metro,Pamukkale )

From Izmir to Ayvalik it takes 156 km (3 hrs by bus- by car 2 hrs) Bus Company: Sebat Turizm

By Ferry: from Istanbul to Bandirma with ferry (2 hrs) after that by bus from Bandirma to Ayvalik it takes 4 hrs.

From Lesvos (Greece) to Ayvalik daily ferry it takes 1.5 hrs

Airport: Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport 156 km

Beaches: Sarimsakli Beach, Badavut, Cataltepe, and Patrica you can reach easily by Dolmus or taxi within 10 min. from Bonjour Pension.
