Bilbao Akelarre Hostel is the first private youth hostel in Bilbao, created just for you in 2009. We offer a total of 38 beds in a hostel small and cosy enough to feel like home. We are very close to Deusto and Basque Country Universities in the District of Deusto.
We\'re just 20 minutes\' walk from the Guggenheim, and 10 minutes from the Abandoibarra area of Bilbao, where you can find the Euskalduna Palace, Iberdrola\'s tower, Calatrava\'s bridge, Moneo\'s library, and even San Mam�s, Bilbao\'s football cathedral!
Our hostel is situated in an area with a great street life, bars, restaurants, supermarkets - let us show you around!

It was difficult to get to the place at first but once we found it, the service was great, the staff was really friendly and helpfull. It is a small place, but quite convenient. It is really close to the Guggenheim Bilbao Museum. Thanks Akelarre

The walk back to the hostel from the city after dark felt unsafe for a woman alone.
There is only one computer and it didn't function very well.
Little things were inconvenient like nowhere to hang or put down anything where the wash basins were.
The staff were very helpful.

A quite nice hostal, with very helpful and kind staff. They have an airport pickup service, 20 euros, a bit less than a taxi would have cost. (Due to a very delayed flight, I arrived after public transport had stopped running.)
More centrally located than the "official" youth hostal in Bilbao, which can be more challenging to get to after 2200 hrs at night via public transport.
Clean, comfortable, and quiet--would reccommend to others.

Lovely hostel. Everything is very good except the only disadvantage is a little noise in the room.
