Izu Place Cabinas Las Orquideas, Jaco, Costa Rica

I stayed at Izu Place Cabinas Las Orquideas for three nights. It was a great stay; the pool is very nice and the rooms are well maintained. From the hotel you can walk to the beach in five to 10 minutes, no problem. The hotel has covered parking inside a gated compounded, so my rental car was untouched for my entire stay. The manager was very helpful and friendly; he exchanged some some for me and provided me with directions. I came and went with visitors and was given no complaints or problems. There is a young man which keeps watch over the place at night. There are safes in the rooms which the manager will give you a key for upon request. I always feel much better using a room safe wherever I am. When I am in Jaco again this is the place I will go to, no doubt. You can't find a better facility for the price. It is nice that the hotel is not on the beach, it is on a much more quite side street. The beach area in Jaco tends to attract vagrants, but nothing extreme.
There is a cabina with a pool table and a kitchen area. You will not have any problems keeping a surf board in your room or walking from the hotel to good waves with a board. I highly recommend this hotel when in Jaco.

Loud parties until 4:00am. Would never recommend it to anyone. Cheap but not worth the hot rooms and not getting any sleep.

Staff were nice.

Izu's Cabaina Las Orquideas is the perfect mid to low cost location to stay in Jaco. The friendly communal atmosphere between Izu and and all the guests is pleasantly intoxicating. The location is smack bang in the center of Jaco but just back from the main Boulavade so its not so loud and crazy at your front door step. Theres a pool table and outdoor bar and bbq right near the pool and the rooms are clean, with a fridges ,fans and hot water. Izu and his staff go out of there way to make you feel extremely welcome and right at home. Izu and his staff are also a wealth of knowledge on where to go, what to do and how to get the best out of Jaco. If you surf the owner Izu will show you all the best breaks and most likely want to go have a wave with you. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here I was only supposed to spend 3-4 nights in Jaco just til after New Years but becaus of the location,value and service I stayed for more than a week. If your not looking for a 5 star experience and value and good company is what you seek you have to come and stay at Izu's Cabinas Las Orquideas you wont regeret it. Viva la Costa Rica
