Highfields is a big funky old house built in what was originally the highest settlement in Knysna town.

We have plenty of backpackers hostel accommodation, with space galore to spread out and enjoy yourself, near enough to town for you to take a leisurely stroll and enjoy the sights and sounds of Knysna or relax at the waterfront in one of the excellent restaurants in offer.

Now under new ownership and management this Knysna hostel still has some its original features as well as a bunch of new ones. Our young energetic staff can assist in arranging all your activities in and around Knysna.

At Highfields we offer more than just backpackers hostel accommodation. We also put a lot of emphasis on activities from our in-house tours, down into a tourist free river gorge, to activities in Knysna and the surrounding areas.
